Sales engineer, piping systems


This position can be located anywhere in Norway, but candidates should preferably live in or near Oslo, Bergen or Stavanger due to travel convenience.

TASKS:

·         Promote Victaulic products, concepts and services to customers and prospects

·         Develop sales objectives, strategies and forecasts and concur with the manager

·         Build and maintain good relationships with clients, prospects and distributors

·         Develop and implement suitable promotion plans, branch visits and installation tours

·         Find and follow major construction, expansion or retrofit projects with potential

·         Gain complete information for all quotation requisitions including application knowledge

·         Maintain knowledge and skill for the job and advise the manager of any training needs

·         Cooperate with inside sales, engineering and other support staff to ensure good teamwork

·         Participate in the workgroup meetings and strive for continuous improvement in your work

 

 QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Some years of experience within technical sales

·         Ability to build long-term relationships with customers, distributors and colleagues

·         Strong communication and motivation skills

·         Willingness to travel 30-40% of the time in periods

·         Self propelled, and an honest interest in developing own skills and a possible career

·        Some knowledge to relevant applications like HVAC, industrial, municipal, or alternatively the pipe, valve & fittings industry is appreciated but not mandatory

Competitive compensation will be based on qualifications and experience. The candidate will be expected to begin this job as soon as possible.  Product training will take place both domestic and abroad.   The Victaulic company invests huge effort in employee education every year.
